Most of the people using IDM for downloading files, because downloading with IDM is much faster than other tools. But Sometimes due to the incompatibility of extensions or due to browser updation, Internet download manager unable to grab downloads. Don’t worry, if you are facing these kind of error with IDM.
You can fix these types of extension problems manually, here are the simple steps to fix these types of error. This will also fix the YouTube videos grabbing and downloading problems.
Integrate IDM In Google Chrome
Method 1
1. Open IDM, go to downloads and click on option.
2. Now, Uncheck “use advanced browser integration” and Again Recheck “use advanced browser integration”.
3. Then check that integration into Chrome is also enabled as shown above image.
Method 2
1. Open your browser, go to settings and click on Extensions.
2. Now open the IDM Installation folder. The location of the folder is:
C:>Program Files (x86)>Internet Download Manager
3. Inside IDM Installation folder, find “IDMGCExt.crx” file, drag and drop it into the browser extension as shown below.

4. Click on Add button to add to the browser.
5. If you already added IDM extension into Chrome you need to configure it correctly. Check that "IDM Integration Module" extension is enabled. If you use incognito mode in Chrome, you need to enable "Allow in incognito" checkbox.
You have successfully installed IDM extension.
Integrate IDM In Mozilla Firefox
1. Open IDM, go to downloads and click on option.
2. Then check that integration into Mozilla Firefox is also enabled as shown below image.
3. Open Firefox and go to “Tools->Add-ons" menu item in Firefox.
4. Add-ons dialog should open. Click on "Extensions" tab and find IDM CC (Internet Download Manager integration module for Mozilla).
5. If "Uninstall" button is available, press this button and confirm deinstallation. Then close and restart Firefox browser. On next start, Firefox will find and install the latest version of IDM CC extension automatically using system registry.
If "Uninstall" button is not unavailable and if you are using the latest version of IDM and the integration does not work, it's possible that you use an old version of IDM extension. In this case open this web-page in FireFox browser that you need IDM to be integrated to, then click here to install.
